To ensure the Scions' safety, Cid Garlond initiated a project for Assistant androids (K-01 to K-07-a). They faced a shared challenge—subpar task performance due to high energy consumption. Addressing this, the project called for mechanical enhancements to reduce energy usage and sought a more compact, efficient energy source.

Eureka Expedition

The discovery of a mysterious island in the Far East led Miss Rowena to organize a land expedition. Garlond Ironworks, under the leadership of Aize Kazimira (Living Enigma), sent researchers to explore an alternative power source crucial for their Magitek Android project. In The Baldesion Arsenal, Kazimira found unique crystals radiating significant aether, collecting them for integration into the project.

Soul-separation

Having evaded the Garlean Empire, Neibhor Lab scientists accessed Aulus mal Asina's redacted project, focusing on soul separation and switching. Recognizing synergy, they proposed collaboration to craft backup bodies for the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Envisioning a tangible possibility, they offered to integrate our efforts.The soul transfer process overwrites everything in the droid with the creator, which could affect the soul and memories(If they have it).

Unexpected Soul

Model K-07 Series, or "Miqodroid," was conceived as a prototype for the backup body project, tasked with securing "Aize Kazmira." However, during the journey, Miqodroid was able to travel to the Elpis and meet Ascian Emet-Selch who discerned the presence of a soul within K-07-b-1's power crystal core. This theory gained validation when Y'shtola Rhul, adept at perceiving Aether, confirmed it. Consequently, Kazmira, recognizing the implications, made the academic decision to terminate the soul backup project, ultimately leading to her tragic demise in the end.

The Crystal Soul

Presently, our scientists are unable to trace the origin of the soul. Hypotheses posit that the soul may either be created within the crystal to forge a "Living Weapon" just like Ozma, Absolute Virtue, and other creations in The Baldesion Arsenal or could be a remnant soul captured since the Allagan era (the 3rd Era).
